TECHNOLOGY

Ventana’s patent-pending technology converts mixed waste plastics from consumer, industrial and agricultural waste streams to hydrocarbon fuels that have several applications. The technology helps waste management companies generate substantial cash flows from end-of-life waste plastics while also providing a next life solution to the problem of post-consumer plastics.

Ventana has, through four generations of successive development, optimized the process design to achieve 5.8 to 6.4 barrels of liquid fuels per ton of waste plastic. The system achieves upto 95% conversion of waste plastics to liquid fuels and (LPG-like) offgas.

CONTINUOUS PROCESS

Ventana's technology deploys company's patent-pending self-cleaning process for continuous and automated removal of carbon char from the pyrolysis vessels. Our design engineering is a disruptive improvement to prior batch-mode variants and it enables us to develop systems that have lower capEx (reduced size of plant machinery), lower opEx (reduced number of personnel) and smaller footprint.

Aside, Ventana's technology deploys a multi stage process and proprietary controls to effect a direct conversion of waste plastics to distillate grade fuels. Compared to synthetic-crude generated by competing technologies, fuels generated from Ventana's process are lighter (C5 – C24 ), have low viscosity (2.7 -3.5 cst) and high GCV (18,900 – 20,340 BTU/lb). The fuels require no further refining and have ready market acceptance as drop-in substitute for industrial diesel for use in boilers and furnaces.
